Starring Tabu, Kartik Aaryan, and Kiara Advani, the movie is a stand-alone sequel to Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007) and the second entry in the Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise. The story revolves around Ruhaan Randhawa, who must pose as a fake psychic in order to cope with the reappearance of Manjulika, a wicked ghost hell-bent on exacting revenge against the Thakur family. Filming wrapped up in February 2022 after principal photography started in October 2019.
Filming sites included Mumbai and Manali in addition to actual houses in Jaipur and Lucknow. Sandeep Shirodkar composed the music for the movie, and Pritam and Tanishk Bagchi composed the songs. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 Movie Storyline
The priests lock a wicked ghost named Manjulika, who is determined to harm the family’s daughter-in-law Anjulika, in a chamber across a palace in Bhawanigarh, Rajasthan in 2004. The family then leaves the mansion in search of safety. Ruhaan Randhawa encounters Reet Thakur, who is travelling to Bhawanigarh through Chandigarh to grudgingly wed her fiancé Sagar, 18 years later in Himachal Pradesh.
They board a bus headed for Chandigarh, but they detour to attend a music festival instead. They subsequently learn that the bus they were intended to take was involved in an accident that killed everyone on board. The Thakurs, who are the current owners of the property that was abandoned 18 years ago, therefore believed she had passed away. Reet tries calling her family, but while doing so she overhears a chat between Trisha and Sagar and learns that they are having an affair.
Reet plays along with her family’s assumption that she has passed away and travels to Bhawanigarh with a wary Ruhaan in an effort to earn them the gift of marriage so she might escape entering it. They decide to hide in the abandoned ancestral mansion, but Chote Pandit, a priest, notices the doors open and alerts the Thakurs, who enter the mansion with the villagers and spot Ruhaan. Ruhaan then pretends that Reet’s ghost led him there and that her dying wish is to see her family residing there, and that Trisha is married.
