Sukumar is the writer and director of the 2018 Telugu-language period action drama film Rangasthalam, which is set in India. Rangasthalam Movie Storyline
The cheerful, irritable, and partially deaf Chittibabu lives in the village of Rangasthalam. He works in the hamlet with Mahesh, watering irrigational fields with a vehicle owned by his friend Kolli Rangamma, whom he refers to as atta (aunt). Living with his parents and sister, Chittibabu falls in love with the farmer Ramalakshmi, who at first isn’t aware of his hearing loss.
The local government of Rangasthalam is headed by Phanindra Bhupathi, the president of the panchayat, a powerful and ruthless landlord who abuses the cooperative society by demanding excessive interest rates and illegally intruding on farmers’ lands under the guise of outstanding debts. When Chittibabu’s brother Kumar Babu, who left the hamlet to find work, arrives at Rangasthalam, he is dismayed to discover this taking on.
Ramalakshmi and Kumar Babu face society after the society seizes Ramalakshmi’s land for failing to repay the loan’s outstanding sum, alleging that her mother had paid it off before passing away and that the figures were exaggerated.
