Skoda Rapid Matte Edition: Skoda today launched the matte version of its Rapide. The price of which starts from Rs 11.99 lakh for the manual version, and apart from this, the automatic version will get you up to Rs 13.49 lakh. Both these prices are ex-showroom Delhi, India. The Skoda Rapid Matte Edition is a limited-run model with only 400 units and this model was first showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo showcasing the Rapid’s matte concept.
Difference between Skoda Rapid Mat Interior and Exterior
The matte version of the Rapide was launched with an exclusive carbon steel matte gray shade. The car has been given finishing touches by several gloss black trims all around. The front grille, a lip spoiler on the front bumper, door handles, side body molding are also seen. Coming to the interiors, the Rapid Matte variant gets a new dual-tone Taylor Gray interior with black leather upholstery and Alcatraz inserts on the inside. Other than that, the equipment list remains the same as the standard car. The car also gets an 8.0-inch touch screen infotainment system.
Apart from this, a rearview parking camera, automatic headlamps, and wipers are also available in this car. The car gets cruise control, auto-dimming inside the car rear-view mirror. On the safety front, dual airbags, ABS, rear parking sensors, and many more are included.
Powertrain Options, Pricing & Rivals of Rapid Matte Edition
Mechanically, the Skoda Rapid Matte variant remains the same as its standard car and comes with a 110hp, 172Nm, 1.0-litre three-cylinder TSI turbo-petrol engine. In this matte version of Skoda, you get to see both the 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.
If you talk about the price of this car. So for the manual variant of this car you will have to pay Rs 11.99 lakh. The Rapid Matte variant of Skoda has been priced at the same level as the existing top-spec manual variant Rapide Monte Carlo in the lineup.
Meanwhile, the price of this car is Rs 30,000 more than the other top-style manual variants of the Skoda Rapid. However, for the automatic variant, the matte variant costs you just Rs 20,000 more than the Monte Carlo automatic variant.
Coming to the competitors, the Skoda Rapid Matte Edition is being given direct competition by Honda City, Hyundai Verna, and Maruti Suzuki Ciaz.
