Swades Full Movie Short Storyline
Slowly, Mohan and Geeta’s romance grows. Kaveri Amma tasks Mohan to travel to the neighboring village of Kodi and retrieve money owed to Geeta by a guy by the name of Haridas. The trip that Mohan goes on in the novel is very similar to what occurred to Mahatma Gandhi when he returned from South Africa. When Mohan travels to Kodi, he is moved by the deplorable circumstances that prevent Haridas from feeding his family every day.
Haridas explains to Mohan that he switched to tenant farming because his previous occupation as a weaver wasn’t providing him with any income. But because of his shift in occupation, the people shunned him and even stopped giving him water for his crops. Mohan recognizes the sad state of affairs and learns that many Indian villages still operate in a similar manner as Kodi.
He returns to Charanpur with a sad heart and makes the decision to take action for the village’s well-being. Mohan adds three extra weeks to his leave. He discovers that frequent power outages and unreliable electricity are major issues in Saharanpur. He makes the decision to build a modest hydroelectric power plant using a nearby water supply.
Mohan manages the construction of the power-producing unit and pays for all necessary equipment out of his own pocket. The device functions and provides the community with reliable, enough electricity.
