Storyline of Darbar Movie
In police encounters around Mumbai, Mumbai Police Commissioner Aditya Arunachalam is shown executing multiple crooks. His rash actions have drawn considerable censure, prompting India’s National Human Rights Commission to take action against him. One of the commission’s panelists, an old friend of Aditya, realizes that his harshness stems from the year-ago murder of his daughter, Vallikkanu aka Valli. Aditya, a well-known officer, was deployed to Mumbai as the new Commissioner of Police a year ago, in an attempt by his superiors to combat the city’s endemic drug trafficking and prostitution.
He rescues three abducted ladies after landing in Mumbai, one of which is the daughter of Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister. Sensing an opportunity, Aditya uses the abducted women as a pretext to launch a big campaign against the city’s drug and prostitution gangs; his efforts are very effective, with countless drug dealers and child traffickers captured. Ajay Malhotra, the son of Vinod Malhotra, a renowned entrepreneur, is among those detained. Vinod tries to save Ajay at first, but Aditya stops him. Aditya meets a woman named Lilly in a cafe and falls in love with her. Kaushik, his daughter, and friend, persuades him to marry Lilly despite Lilly’s rejection of Aditya’s approaches.
