The 2017 Indian neo-noir action thriller movie Vikram Vedha was written and directed by Pushkar-Gayathri and produced by S. Sashikanth under his production company YNOT Studios. Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, R. Madhavan, Vijay Sethupathi, Shraddha Srinath, Kathir, and Prem also appear as supporting cast members. The movie depicts the account of Vikram, a police officer who sets out to find and murder criminal Vedha, and was inspired by the Indian folktale Baital Pachisi. After Vedha gives himself up freely, he tells Vikram three stories that alter the way he views good and evil.
Sashikanth said in January 2015 that he will be collaborating with the husband and wife team Pushkar and Gayathri to produce a movie. Vikram Vedha Movie Storyline
Vikram is a trustworthy inspector with a clear sense of right and wrong. Vedha is a notorious mobster who is aware of the subtleties in between. Simon, Vikram’s closest buddy, is the commander of an encounter force created to take down Vedha. The group kills three of Vedha’s goons in one confrontation and then frames an unarmed criminal Vikram murdered to escape further investigation.
Vedha approaches the police station and voluntarily turns herself in as the squad prepares for another encounter. Vedha offers to tell Vikram a story when the latter questions him. The first act tells the story of Vedha becoming a drug smuggler. Vedha cautions his younger brother Vignesh, known as Pulli because of his aptitude for mathematics, to stay away from crime, but Pulli is coerced into carrying narcotics by a rival mobster named Ravi.
When the police apprehend Pulli and his companion Chandra, Pulli confesses, and Ravi is taken into custody. Ravi hits Pulli on the directive of his superior Sangu, inflicting a scar on his palm that won’t go away. Vikram is asked by Vedha if he should murder Sangu or Ravi. Vedha suggests that Vikram killed Sangu in response to Vikram’s claim that Sangu was the genuine offender.
Vikram’s wife Priya, who is Vedha’s attorney, steps in and saves him. Based on the mark on Pulli’s hand, Vikram realizes that the unarmed criminal they had falsely accused in order to avoid an investigation was actually Pulli. Vikram goes to help Simon out of fear that Vedha could try to kill him but discovers Chandra and him shot to death. SP It’s brushed off by Surendhar as an awkward encounter.
